Multilingual
Languages supported (EN/PT/ES) and auto-detection.
You can use the AI Assistant in more than one language. This article explains which languages are supported and how the system handles them.
Supported Languages
The AI Assistant typically supports:
- English (EN) – e.g. "Create a reservation for John, May 10 to 15, at the Porto apartment."
You can type or speak in any of these languages. The AI interprets the request and performs the same actions (create property, reservation, block dates, etc.) regardless of language.
Auto-Detection
The system usually detects the language of your message automatically. You do not need to set a language or prefix your message. Just write or speak in the language you prefer; the AI responds in the same language (or in the app’s default language, depending on the product).
Consistency
- Property names and guest names – You can use names in any language (e.g. "Apartamento Porto", "Casa Lisboa"). The AI matches them to your existing properties by name.
- Dates – Use clear dates (e.g. "May 10 to 15", "10 a 15 de maio") so the AI parses them correctly in any supported language.
- Numbers – Prices and capacities (e.g. "80 euros", "4 people") are understood in all supported languages.
Guest Language vs AI Language
- AI language – The language you use to talk to the AI (EN, PT, ES). It only affects the conversation with the assistant.
- Guest preferred language – The language used for automated emails sent to the guest (e.g. confirmation, check-in instructions). You set this when creating or editing the reservation or in the guest profile. It is independent of the language you use with the AI.
So you can use the AI in Portuguese while setting the guest’s preferred language to English so they receive emails in English. See Email & Messages and Guest Profiles for how to set the guest language.
