Limitations
No photo upload, no direct payments, and other limits.
The AI Assistant is powerful for quick creation and updates, but it has limits. This article lists the main ones so you know when to use the form instead.
No Photo Upload
The AI cannot upload or manage photos. When you ask it to create a property, it fills in name, type, capacity, price, and similar fields, but it does not add images. Always add, reorder, and delete photos in the property edit form (Photos or Gallery section). See Property Photos.
No Direct Payments
The AI cannot process payments (e.g. charge a card or mark a deposit as paid through a payment gateway). It can create reservations and set deposit amounts or percentages in the data, but any actual payment handling is done outside the assistant (e.g. in Billing or in the reservation detail). Use the normal UI for payment-related actions.
Depends on Your Plan
- Access – The AI Assistant is a premium feature. Free or trial plans may not have access or may have limited use. Check Settings → Billing for your plan.
- Usage limits – Some plans limit how many AI commands you can run per day or per month. When you hit the limit, you may need to wait or upgrade. See Availability and Limits.
Interprets Natural Language
The AI interprets what you write or say. If your message is vague or ambiguous (e.g. two properties with similar names, unclear dates), it may pick the wrong item or ask for clarification. Be specific with property names, guest email, and dates. See Best Practices.
Cannot Do Everything the Form Can
The form lets you set every field (address, cleaning fee, deposit, notes, guest language, etc.). The AI can set only what it understands from your message. For full control or for fields the AI does not support, use the manual form. See AI vs Manual UI.
No Undo in the Chat
When the AI creates or updates something, the change is saved. There is no "undo" button in the chat. If the AI did the wrong thing (e.g. wrong dates), edit or cancel the reservation or property in the normal UI, or create a new one and ignore the wrong one if appropriate.
Summary
Use the AI for fast, simple tasks: create property, create or cancel reservation, block dates, ask about availability. Use the form for photos, payments, and detailed or complex edits.
