Reservation Details
Detail view: guest, dates, price, message timeline, notes.
Opening a reservation shows its full details: guest information, dates, price, status, message timeline, and notes. This article explains what you see on the reservation detail view.
How to Open the Detail View
- Go to Dashboard → Reservations.
- Click the guest name or reservation ID (or the row, depending on the UI).
The reservation detail page or panel opens.
What You See
Guest Information
- Name – Guest full name.
- Email – Guest email address. Used for sending messages and for linking to a guest profile (see Guest Profiles).
- Preferred language – Language used for automated emails (e.g. Portuguese, English, Spanish).
- Phone or other fields – If you have added them via a guest profile or manually, they may appear here.
Dates and Property
- Check-in – Arrival date.
- Check-out – Departure date.
- Number of nights – Calculated from check-in and check-out.
- Property – The property name and link to its calendar or edit page.
Price and Payment
- Total price – The amount for the stay.
- Deposit – If a deposit is required, the amount and whether it is paid may be shown.
- Status – e.g. Pending, Confirmed, Pending deposit, Checked-in, Checked-out, Cancelled. See Reservation Statuses for the meaning of each.
Message Timeline
A message timeline (or similar) shows a chronological list of messages sent for this reservation: confirmation, check-in instructions, cleaning requests, etc. You can see what was sent and when, and whether it was an automated template or a manual message.
Notes
If you or your team have added notes to the reservation, they appear in the detail view. Use notes for internal information (e.g. special requests, access codes) that you do not want in the guest-facing emails.
Actions From the Detail View
From the detail page you can usually:
- Edit – Change dates, guest, price, or deposit.
- Cancel – Cancel the reservation and free the dates.
- Send message – Send an email to the guest (if the app supports it).
- View property – Open the property or its calendar.
Exact actions depend on the UI and your plan.
